Exclamation I need help!

This is my 1998 F-150 XL 4.2L - im looking to get a 12" lift, i talked to someone at 4wheelparts and they told me there's only 1 6" kit for this truck, is that right? Can someone point me in the right direction to get this truck off the ground! Thanks

First off, the only well built and properly engineered 12" IFS lift is by Rize which is not available for the 97-03 body style. Second with the 4.2 V6 with 12" of lift your looking around a 38" tire, even with gears, the motor is NOT going to like those tires. You will be slow, and your top speed will be limited greatly. Also, your truck appears to be 2wd which makes it even more impossible. Well not impossible but not as easy.

If 4WD, 6" Fabtech + 3" body lift and 38's and 4:56 gears at least.

2WD 7.5" fabtech + 3" body and coil spacer. Though the 7.5" fabtech on the V6 will ride really harsh and ride rough.

motor isn't stock, it has a power pack from supersixmotorsports - http://www.supersixmotorsports.com/p...3PowerPaks.pdf

so go with the 6" lift the guy suggested and the 35" tires?

Get the Fabtech 7.5" and 35's. It will be rough, but its a truck.

Or the 6" and 35's, will have to trim a bit for that though I bet.
Here is my old truck, reg cab 4.2 V6, 3.5" spindle lift, 1.5" coil spacer, coil spring from V8 F-150, and 3" block in the rear and 33" nitto terra grapplers

This is your best bet as far as maximum lift for practicality and price. You could always find a custom 4x4 shop to custom fab you a 12" lift but that would cost you a fortune.
