2003 2wd Supercrew

Just a quick question, I've been thinking about lifting my truck and selling my rims... All information on here points me to the fabtech 6'' lift. Just wondering, i've heard lifting 2wd is cheaper, is this true? How much money should i be ready to spend for the lift and instillation of the lift?

And what tires would be the best? I want to run a 35, with 20'' rims. Will that fit? I've seen a few Screws like mine with that setup, but they are 4x4. Didn't know if i could fit it.

Any helps appreciated.

B

[PS, What do you guys think about my current rims on some sort of mud tire if i lift it, would it look stupid? I was thinking it would, i was gonna get a more aggressive type of rim if i could sell those and i lifted my truck]

Pics in gallery.

I believe the Fabtech lift for your truck is 7.5 inches. This will allow you to fit 35's with the right wheel (I'd go with a 8 inch wide wheel).
Also, I agree with you, I don't think your current wheels will look too good with off road tires.

I read up on the fabtech site, says they recommend a 315/75/ 17 or 18'' rim. What would a 20'' rim do, would it even fit? Keep in mind if i ever lift it, it will mainly be for show, very minor off roading.

As long as the width and backspacing are right, it won't matter if you run a 35x12.50 tire on a 16, 20 or 24 inch wheel.

What's a good 35'' tire for 20's? I love those procomp x-terrains but can't seem to find them for 20's.

alot of guys roll nitto's. I'm not really a fan of the 20's on lifted trucks but some look tight. Anytime you want 20's tires are going to kill you.

yea.. that's what i've been noticing. It'll be a while before i can buy all the stuff if i go w/ the 20's.. But thanks for the insight man.

I may just end up buying some 24's when these tires go bald... Save me some $$ compared to lifting and new tires.. Surprisingly.
