Rancho RS9000X
Rancho RS9000X
Hope someone out there can answer a question for me. I just bought a set of 9000X shocks from a private seller. Not new from the factory, but supposed to be new. Anyway, The back ones seem OK but they do have a few slight dings in them. Will this be OK or will it effect the shocks? The front ones look fine but the the bushings in the bottom mounts are different. One measures 7/8 diameter all the way through, the other one 3/4 on the outside edge, and 7/8 on the inside. What is up with this. Someone help me out here. The front two are 99767 and the back two 99286.
Thanks in advance...

Checked Rancho's website, the part #'s you listed are for the front & rear shocks for a 04-07 F-150 4wd with 0" lift. If this is you then you got the correct shocks, however, if the back ones have dings or dents they were either put there from handling during storage/shipment or they are used shocks! I don't think the dings will hurt the shocks unless the housing was punctured or damaged...........these shocks can take alot of abuse and still function properly, so you are probably fine.
As far as the bushings being different sizes, I don't have a clue......I would think that maybe the previous owner may have tried to put them on and then took them off or something........but if you don't see any other signs of wear, then I think they are OK.........I think you can find replacement bushings, but I don't know for sure..........Hope this helps...
PS. I had these shocks on my Chevy and I loved them, they are awesome shocks!!!
