Suspension lift

I am purchasing an 04 extended cab F150 4x4 on thursday. I was had a question about lifting it. I was originally going to do 35x12.5 KM2's on stock rims with a 2.5 leveling kit, but now I am thinking about something a little bit bigger. I want to go with the 37x13.5x18 toyo open country m/t's on the stock 18in OEM rims. I was wondering what type of suspension lift would i need to pull something like that off? Would a need a combo of a suspension and a body lift kit to do that without any rubbing? Also would I even be able to mount those on an 18in rim or would I have to buy new rims?

No you can not run a 37x13.5 tire on a stock 7.5in wide rim.I don't think you could find a place that would mount them so you would have to probably do it yourself and I'm sure if you go to the tire manufacturer website,it will say minimum of 8.5 in wide rime maybe 9in wide.

CST or Rize
Fabtech with leveling kit or body lift
Pro-Comp with body lift

There are many combinations that will fit 37's, but you need to decide how much you are spending. And, dump the stock wheels.

Well then I would go with probably a 17x9 rim to mount the 37x13.5x17. What kits did you use and what size kits were they? and what type of backspacing did you need to get yours to run without any rubbing? How does it drive on the highway?

i would go with the rize 8in if i were you. if you call them up and ask about wheel and tire sizes and backspacing they will tell you what you can and cant do. rize makes great quality lifts, driving on the highway or just on the street handles and rides just like a stock truck. its the smoothest ride ive ever felt in a lifted truck

I dont think I want to go with an 8 in lift though. I really don't like seeing alot of suspension under the truck. I was thinking more of a 4in suspension with a 3in body if possible. I want it to still look fairly stock, but just with much larger tires.

I'd go with the 8 inch Rize.
