2 1/2 here . I think the angles will be to serve on the 3 ". and you gotta think about blocks for the rear . If i got the 2" I wouldn't needed anything in the rear . with the 2 1/2 " on my truck , Some places I parked it looked like the front was higher so I bagged the rear . Just something eles to worry about lol .

Does the year matter? i have an '05 4x4 and i was wondering the same thing. Does baggin it raise it any? I wanted to go with a 2.5" front and airbags for the rear when towing the hauler, and I want it level...so I was even thinking a 3" with and AAL and bags...

i have an 05 fx4 with a 2.5 autospring. the front looks like it sits about 1/2 higher than the rear. i will be adding an add a leaf in the rear soon so it looks more level. im running 22" wheels with 35" terra grapplers
also i was told a 3" leveling kit wasnt a good idea because it puts alot of stress on some of the front end parts.. im not exacly sure which parts are at risk of excessive wear, but maybe someone else here could shed some more light on this subject

Your ball joint angles become rather severe with the 3" spacers. Some users have had them and report no problems. I'm not sure if it really makes a difference. Either way you might be replacing ball joints a little earlier than usual. You could also consider replacing the upper control arm and ball joint with a uniball system if/when the BJ goes bad. Just my take on it.
