3 inch bearly enough

hey guys I have a 2004 FX4 and I've had my 3 in leveling kit on it. I hear how other people on here only needed a 2 or 2 1/2 kit. I was wondering why this is, maybe the last owner added a block in the back but I dont know wat they look like so please any help will be great. Thanks

I used to have a 05 FX4 and i put a 2.5 inch on it with 35s and 18 inch wheels......Now i have an 06 w/ a 3 inch Readylift. I have all my work done at Chux Trux in Kansas City and they said that it used to be 2.5 inches, but they said it was probably actually giving a true 3 inches instead because the part numbers for the 2.5 and 3 inch were the same....With that being said, ill try and get some photos up, but i have been having trouble with the site...?

I've got an 04 SCREW 4x4 and it has a terrible rake in the front. There is probably 2-3 in. difference as it sits stock. I've got 105,000 miles on it though but my lift is coming VERY soon !

the earlier trucks have more rake. there was a change in the leaf springs i think the newer ones have one less, dont know what year the change was made. i have an 05 with the 3" kit and it sits level. but really how much would you notice a half inch.

Yah noooo crap. My angles suck! I think im going with the 8" Rize. Ive read that the Fabtech sets the front wheels out more...? I dont really want that.
