3 in body lift
3 in body lift
I have heard that they are tough to put on the new body style {08} i was just wondering if anyone had any suggestion on weather its better to do it myself or have it installed
do it yourself or plan on buying an industrial size tub of **** lube cause the shops will get you on the labor costs. if you read the instructions all the way through, its not a hard just, its just a combination of lots of small jobs that add up to one time consuming job.

If you are the least bit mechanically inclined, you could handle it yourself and save the cash. I've heard the same thing also on the NBS vs. OBS. I've installed 2, one on a 2000 SCab and the other on my 03 SCrew, and the toughest thing I had done before that was change the oil and the brake pads.
It's going to take a while, yes. But if you've done any light automotive work in the past, you'll be able to handle it IMO. Pics of the install process on the 03 in my gallery.
i live in the jacksonville area i had a lil local shop price the kit at 510 but the labor at 300 but 4 wheel parts was 315 for kit and 750 for labor but how long of a job is it like full day or what?
Yeah, definately do it yourself. Just read and re-read the instructions before beginning, and have them handy the whole time. I'd never done any kind of lift before and I did my 6'' suspension lift myself in about 12 hours. Just be sure you understand the instructions, find pics online, and take your time. It'll save you a lot of money.
