do it yourself or plan on buying an industrial size tub of **** lube cause the shops will get you on the labor costs. if you read the instructions all the way through, its not a hard just, its just a combination of lots of small jobs that add up to one time consuming job.

If you are the least bit mechanically inclined, you could handle it yourself and save the cash. I've heard the same thing also on the NBS vs. OBS. I've installed 2, one on a 2000 SCab and the other on my 03 SCrew, and the toughest thing I had done before that was change the oil and the brake pads.

It's going to take a while, yes. But if you've done any light automotive work in the past, you'll be able to handle it IMO. Pics of the install process on the 03 in my gallery.

Yeah, definately do it yourself. Just read and re-read the instructions before beginning, and have them handy the whole time. I'd never done any kind of lift before and I did my 6'' suspension lift myself in about 12 hours. Just be sure you understand the instructions, find pics online, and take your time. It'll save you a lot of money.

its a full day for sure, maybe 2 if you work really slow. get a friend to help you and it will make a huge difference in the amount of time the install takes. also, to save time if you have to work or go to school the day before you do the install, at the end of the day, pull the bumpers off and the back of rear seat out the day before you do the install to save some time. also, the bed bolts could use a good soaking with BP penetrating oil
