level kit in the front and back?

Hey guys

I would like to put a 3" or 2.5" level kit on the front of my 04 f150 stx but I would like to bring the back up an equal amount to keep it even so would I just get a rear 3" or 2.5" kit or should I get a different size, I don't plan on doing any toeing or hauling, it's pretty much just for looks along with the 35s I got fir it. Also should I get an AAL or blocks?

Some of the guys on here get an even look with a 2.5 level kit. So a 3 is probably going to lift you higher in the front. An AAL kit will give you the lift you want but also allow you to put more weight on the back. Why not give form a little function? Im sure someone with more knowledge than I will chime in.

I am in the same dilemma. Yet from this wonderful website... I have coem to the conclusion that getting a 3" block in the rear will give you the "Raked" look and lift your rear just a bit. i have heard multiple numbers but the stock blocks are either 1.5" or 2" so you are getting just a bit of lift back there but allowing yourself to tow... as said before add some function....

try to steer clear of the 3" leveling kit. Its a little too much, puts a lot of strain on your ball joints, and if 4x4, will have your CV's at a pretty bad angle.

Just so you know.

You say you want to bring the back up to keep it even ? If your 4x4, from the factory your rear is sitting pretty high up. The leveling kit is to make it sit level. So, if you add the 2"-2.5" AS leveling kit, you will be level. No need for anything out back.

A rear block will make you sit "raked" again, but keep factory ride quality.

AAL will stiffen up the ride a bit, allowing for heavier hauling/towing loads.
Since you said you dont tow or haul much, I wouldn't suggest the AAL.

IMO, get the levling kit now, see if you need a rear lift block later.
And, are you 4x4 ? ?

no I'm 2 wheel drive.
I've been reading around some more and people seem to stay below the 3" due to problems, so I'll most likely do a 2.5 in the front but not sure about the rear yet, how many inches would it take to make the rear even with the front again?

thanks for the quick replies guys
