Congratulations!! Feels good to do the work yourself doesn't it? How hard was the body lift to do? I don't know if that is something I would want to attempt myself after watching a technician at work put one on. Looks like a lot of work!! Truck looks great!!

You get a feeling of accomplishment when you do the work yourself and I like to know how things work and to know its done right!

I forgot to tell yall I also put New Moog tie rod ends on when I had the front tore down, I feel like this also helped the steering to not have as much play in it as it did before, also one thing I didnt know till I went to order the tie rod ends is that there is a LH inner, LH outer, RH inner and RH outer, when I orderd them there was a different part# for each one and they vaired in length a little bit, I guess what I am trying to say is that there are 4 different tie rod ends for the front steering system, someone tell me if I am wrong about this!

The body lift was harder to install than the suspension lift to me, I`ve had the body lift on for several months before I bought the suspension lift, it is a lot of work no doubt, there is a lot of steps to installing a body lift and it just takes time more than anything else, if you can follow directions and turn wrenches you can do both of these lifts! I saw a tag on a lifted truck the other day and it said HIGH SOCIETY! I thought that was pretty cool!! Thanks for all your help JD790 and everyone else!

That looks killer!
I think I want to do that to my flareside. I already have the 6" fab, but the body lift sounded like a PITA, how much of a pain is it to do?

Thanks! Les22 , its not really that hard to install a body lift, basically you put in spacers and bolts to raise the body off the frame and extend your steering linkage and some more little stuff, I was in a hurry when I installed my body lift and that is why it seemed hard to me but if you take your time it is not that bad, you will need gapguards to finish off the look they really make or break a body lift in the looks department

are there any body lift manufacturers that you recommend? On ebay, there are some kits for less than $200 but seem to have all the pieces.

Do gap guards have to go on before the body lift is completed?

Here is one picture of the back, but you may want one where you can see the whole back end of the truck, if you do let me know and I`ll take some better pics

Les22 I do know that you can get a complete kit for less than $200 you will want to get the Perforance Accessories Body lift it will have everything you will need in it, the gap guards will go on after the lift, hope this helps you

Thanks jdlowesracer! it is nice to know you have extra clearance when you need to go through a ditch after somebody slams on brakes in front of you or when your offroading and the truck has to flex alot, I think that would be the only downside to 38s on this setup is when the truck flexs offroad it would probably rub pretty bad on the front and rear fenders

The instructions may look hrd but it is not that bad. I did mine a few weeks ago and had a friend help. The hardest part was the bolts I had to cut/grind. couple of bed bolts and the 2 front body mount bolts. The rest was actually not bad at all.It is alot easier if you have a friend to help getting the body aligned when you put it back together and to hold the nut on a few body mounts. I used mostly regular tools with mine and a grinder and a rip saw.
