Torsion Bar question

Ok, guys.....Just bought a 2001 F150 SuperCrew Lariat 4X4, 67,000 miles. Cranked the torsion bars and measured both sides to be equal from the top of the wheel well to the top-center of each wheel, giving the truck about 1-1/2" of lift. I took the truck for a short drive, allowing it to settle, measured again, and then took the truck for an alignment, as well as lower ball joints and idler arm. After I got home, I measured again and found the driver's side to be about 3/16" lower than the passenger side. It's not much, and certainly not noticeable, but, being the perfectionist that I am, it bothers me that both sides are not exactly the same. I figure about a half or three-quarters of a full turn to either side would do it. Can I adjust one side or the other 3/16" without having to get it re-aligned, or does it need to be aligned every time there is a slight adjustment of the torsion bars? Or, will it hurt anything if I just left it like it is?

Yes, the alignment needs to be checked everytime you make changes in torsion bar preload.

3/16" off could be the minor difference in the terrain your truck was sitting on. I personally wouldn't wory about it if it was going to cost me another$35
for an alignment.
