Level kit noise?

Just had a Rancho QUICKLIFT 2.5" level kit installed
(by Ford dealer) I now have a rattle/ bang noise while going over bumps. If I stand on the running boards and rock up and down there is no noise.
Its going back to dealer, but any ideas would help.

Thanks

Try to tighten the nut on the top of the shock that sticks out through the top of the shock tower. I had the same problem after I installed a leveling kit when I first got my truck.

Is there a possibly of any excess noise resulting from a level kit such as an AS 2". Possibly squeeking or anything? Just curious of any possible drawback for putting one on.

Also check the bottom nut for the sway bar link going through the control arm,its tough to get tight cause the whole thing spins while tightening.

F1X540,
What did the dealer (Ford) charge you to install the shocks. I have my QuickLifts but haven't installed yet.

Thanks

I recently bought a 2005 screw that had the bilstin lift already done. I noticed that the passenger side was broken so I ordered the loaded Ranch quicklifts. I replaced the broken side a few days ago and everything went great. Last night I replaced the driver side and it all seemed to go well. On my way to work today I noticed a rattling sound. I did a little homework and figured the center bolt needed to be tightened. When I got home I was able to tighten the center bolt little by little through the enigin compartment. The center bolt snaped off! I tried to call Rancho but they will not be back until Monday due to the holiday. Any advise?

I guess I will have to wait until Monday and see what Rancho says. I will probably have to limp it to a shop that has a spring compressor so it can be replaced. I know this is a small secondary problem now but it would only make the rattle noise when I was on the throttle. I figured if it was the sway bar link it would rattle all the time and that it was the shock assembly ratttling when the engine torq was lifting the front of the truck. It would also not rattle when I reved the engine when sitting still.
