Lower Ball Jt Replacement

I found out from a shop that my lower ball jts need replacing. I have over 100k miles on the truck, so I am fairly sure they need replacing. How hard is it to replace the ball jts? I saw in a tear down manual you need to remove the torsion bars, stabilizer links, and lower control arm. Also, should I replace the upper ball jts since the lowers are being replaced? Anyone who has done this, let me know how involved this is?

well mine basically fell out with a few taps of a hammer. they were shot.
if it was me i'd replace all 4 at the same time. the uppers requires a whole upper arm, which means youll need realigned for sure.

harbor freight has a tool for removing balljoints, works great with the TTB front ends too.
