Fabtech stage 1 and bilsteins?

Well I have a stage 1 fabtech sitting waiting for install and I'm toying with the ideas of running some 37x12.5's. I am curious if you can run the fabtech stage 1 with the bilstein shocks set at the 2" setting?

Anybody doing this, if so, how bad is it on the cv's? I'm thinking if the cv's are tolerable enough I can run for a while and see if I dig 37's. If I want to stay 37's I can go with a body lift and set the shocks back down, or drop down to 35's if it doesn't work out.

I don't think Bilstien makes a 5100 series coilover shock long enough for the Fabtech kit. You can either upgrade to the Dirt Logic coilovers, high end Bistien coilovers or if cost is an issue, run an Autospring leveling kit with the Fabtech kit.

Thanks for the reply man. I've decided to stick at 35's for now after seeing peoples front ends with the spacers or the coils cranked. My truck only has 3k miles on it so don't want to cause any problems just yet.

Just ordered the 35's to make sure I wouldn't get tempted to get 37's. I suppose I will run with a 6" lift and 35's until they wear out, if I wanna go bigger then I will just do a body lift to keep the suspension happy.

So bil 5100s won't work as an additional 2" for the fabtech?

no. even at the 2" setting they will still be shorter then the ones that come with the basic kit. fabtech doesnt use a spacer.
