Leveling kit on heritage
Leveling kit on heritage
hi guys, im new to the forums but i have been here a few times just to read and get info.
so to my question, i have a '04 heritage F-150 2wd supercab. it has the 4.2L V6 and right now is pretty much stock.
i want to put bigger tires on it, but the front is a lot lower than the back so i was looking at one of the daystar leveling kits. when i went and talked to a guy about installing them he said that for the older model that dont have the coil over shock, they dont really do as much as they say. i just want to level it out and put some A/T tires on my stock rims, something in the 265-285 size range.
has anyone had a good experience with the leveling kits? and could i get those size tires on it with just that modification?

Right, you do not have torsion bars. Your best option is to add a Daystar leveling kit. You need the same one as used on 97-03 4x2's. You may need adjustable camber bolts to get the alignment correct also. Some trucks do, some don't. Your other option is to add a set of 3 inch lift spindles. Or better yet, combine the two.
