AS Spacer and AAL

I currently have a 6" FABTECH Lift with 35's... I just measured from the ground to the center of the wheel well and i got roughly 42" in front and back.

If i add a 1.5" AS Spacer to the front how should i compensate the rear to keep them level?

I have also been thinking of 18" or 20" wheels, how much of a difference are those going to make over a set of 17" which i am currently running..

I would add a AAl to the rear, or maybe look into the Fabtech 5" block (instead of the 3" you got right now) but it comes down to what you want your truck to look like.
What do you mean difference from wheels ? Looks ? Performance ? I went from 17" wheels to an 18" wheel (the biggest i would go... 20" rims looks goofy IMO and some say they make the ride real stiff due to the lack of sidewall)

Stock 17"

New 18"

More pics in gallery.

im about to make the same purchase. I am ordering the 6" basic fabtech, but I ma going with the 2" spacers ip front. I am unsure about either the 2" AAD or just the fabtech 5" blocks in rear....which is better option?

(not hijacking your thread, just hopefully adding more info you you (and me)) so we both make the correct decision.)

you can get an Add a leaf, new blocks, or an air bag set up. that should set your rear end level with the front

What do you mean by "better" ? An AAL setup will stiffen the ride a bit, but allow you to tow and haul more. Some people hate how stiff it gets and some others say they don't even notice. The 5" block would keep your suspension fairly stock feel (out back at least). And you can always get both. Depends what your looking for...

So if i throw on a 1.5" AS Spacer and replace my 3" blocks on the rear with new 5" Fabtech blocks. I should remain level... Since the 1.5" spacer adds about 2"

I've been leaning toward 18's too, i always thought that 20's maybe to big...

^^ I would recommend 18's . I was worried they would be too big on a 35" tire... but it came out pretty nice. Its a good balance between rim and tire IMO. 20" rims look great on a 40" + tire. And yes, the block should make it level (its for the kit with adjustable shocks, so you can raise it up 1.5" - 2" if you want) should be sitting level. One more good pic:

sticky/racefan- I`ve been working with diferrent set ups with my truck.
6" fab w/3" blks

6" w/5" blks-This way my truck sat a tad higher in the rr.

6" w/2.5"AS & 5" blks

Now 6" w/2"AS & 5" blks. I like it this way the best. Rear sits about an 1"lower . But I`ll take care of that with some air bags (probably). Also ride Isn`t as harsh as with the 2.5AS.

I have pic`s in my gallery. Except with the 2" (just install a few days ago )

sticky-Stay with 17`s or 18`s
Maybe with 1.5 it may sit level ?

In your pic gallery, you have some "new pics in 08" ... any of those have the new setup ? The 2" spacer and 5" block ?

Sticky: I still am pretty sure you would sit level. I can't guarentee tho, I don't have nearly as much experience with a 4x2. They do sit a bit lower then the 4x4. Looking at Chaz's pics with the 2.5 and the 5" block... makes me pretty darn sure you would sit level.

Maybe make a new thread titled: 4x2 w? 1.5AS + 5" block = level ? Or something of that nature

MT-New pic`s in gallery are with 6" & 5"rr
