Just got a shipment from 4WP. They sent me the replacement coilover for my mismatched pair they originally sent me. Unfortunately, they sent another black one...so I will end up with a black set-up instead of the blue which would have matched my truck better.

Oh well, they are still really nice and will look good...and not to mention that the color doesn't change the way they lift my truck and provide a smooth ride.

Now the pain in the a$$ job of replacing the coilover.

The truck looks great!

I only put 6,000 miles on my 35's before they had to go.

Can I just use a jack and droop the wheel all the way down, then just pop the UCA to get the coilover out? I would like to do it myself if possible.

Yeah, pretty much.

Use a jackstand on the frame. You'll need the jack to raise the lca up.
Get long extensions to get the top bolts and a 30mm deep well for the lower.

Pretty straight forward. Only 6 lug nuts and 5 bolts.

Oh yeah, you'll need a BFH or a ball joint removal tool. I used the BFH.

Thanks for the information and tool requirements. Is it just as hard to get the ball joint back together after removal? I believe I have everything required, and I definitely have the BFH!

That was the only thing I was worried about the first time. It's not bad, just jack it into place and have a friend hold down on it and tighten until you feel it catch. You'll need an allignment when done.

Good luck.

Thanks for the updated information. Especially the edited post above with the link to the instructions with pics.

I feel much more comfortable tackling this myself now.

4WP...they gave me a great discount since I am in the military. Even though there were some issues with the lift and wheels, they corrected their mistakes immediately and I am extremely happy. Not to mention that I got the rims for only $129.00 each with their Buy 2 Get 2 promotion on the Rotary Forged.

Hope this helps.
