Lifted 2wd

Yeah yeah yeah so many people say its dumb to lift a 2wd truck but why not? The only time you even use 4wd is when your mudding or in the snow. And i have a 1992 2wd and it goes through mud and snow perfect without any problems. Im interested in buying a lift kit. Ive looked at a 6" suspension lift and 3" body lift though rough country and i was wondering if anyone looking at this has an older style f150 like mine with pictures of a 6" lift and 3" body lift or any lift at all so i can get an idea of what it looks like. Also what size tires would i be expecting to be able to fit underneath? 35s?
thanks
