Cost of ProComp 6" Lift Installed "Out the Door"

Well I'm interested in 6 in. ProComp 2wd liftkit with MX6 Shocks and front coilovers. That kit is running about $2400.00. With that being said what would be an expected total price for it installed and out the door. I spoke to a local shop and there other parts that are needed ex: Driveshaft Spacer, Shimkit for coilovers, replaced Ford Nuts (lol I don't know) etc. Anyways with All Parts, Labor and alignment, I am looking at $3,470 out the door. Does that seem like a fair price?

Where i got mine installed they were charging $350 for the installation + alignment (120) or i could get it aligned somehwere else. Or if you bought the kit not from them it was like $20/hour for the installation. I ended up saving by buying it and brining it to them.

That does sound extremely expensive tho bud. I can get a Fabtech 6" lift with DL at all four corners for a 4x4 (more expensive then 4x2) delivered for about $2200 MAX ! ! Pro-comp is less expensive (because less quality IMO) . Search around and you should be able to find yourself a better deal.

Prices Approximate:
I bought my kit for 2275+30 shim kit+ 185 for AAL and install+560 lift install+105 alignment= 3155+.0925 TN Sales Tax=3155+292=$3446

The lift install was kind of expensive, but the service I got was amazing. They went out and had longer ubolts machined for me free of charge. They also called me to let me know the the truck wouldnt be level without an AAL. I would rather spend extra money now and have it done right.

I dont know anything about a driveshaft spacer. If I have one, it came with the kit but I dont think that kit has one.

If you call sportztrailers ( http://app.vendio.com/storefront?vie...=288192&mode=1 ) they can hook you up. I have a 2wd f-150 and i bought a 6 inch fabtech with front coil-overs and performance rear shocks for $1685 and i installed it myself. I would get a fabtech just because personally i think they are better quality but that jsut my opinion. Hope it helps to save you a little money

Thanks for all your help guys. Looks like I was gonna spend to much. How important are the coilovers. I want a stiff ride and don't plan on offroading. I really just want something that I can put a lot of miles on without any problems. Everyone seems to be telling me to stay away from pro comp. How about Skyjacker? I would go with Rancho but they have nothing for 2007 2wd. Please rate brands from best to worst. I think its going something like 1. Rancho(no 2wd) 2. Fabtech 3. Skyjacker 4. Procomp.

In many of places I have seen Fabtech coilover kits cheaper than ProComp kits. Keep looking around. $2200-$2300 sounds about right for the ProComp coilover kit if you are not buying online.
