leveling

Can you crank up the torsion bar on the front of a 2004 F150 4x2 to level it out to put 33's on? Thanks.

No torsion bars to be cranked on the 04+ trucks. Just put on a 2-2.5 inch spacer. They are cheap and easy!

the early 04s had the torsion bars. but if you have the nbs(04-08) then there are no torsion bars. otherwise, you can crank away if its the old body style.

The spacer is like $80. You can do the job yourself in a few hours if you have the right tools. Just make sure to get an alignment after it is all done

4x2 F-150's never had torsion bars. Only the 4x4's had them.

How could I of forgot those upgrades. But not sure lookin at a 6 inch lift now with 35 inch tires. Anybody know the cheapest 6 inch (2wd) lift for 04? Cuz the ones I see cost more than I can sell myself for! And with tires ones that are beefy but good on the road cuz I dont do off road too much since it's a 4x2. Thanks once again. I'll eventually get some pics up of what she looks like now.

You can usually find good prices on the standard 6 inch Pro Comp lift.

Now just to make you aware, the Pro Comp kit achieves it's lift in the front with spacers. The Fabtech basic kit achieves it's lift by giving you longer shocks. If you are even remotely thinking about putting a 2" leveling kit on top of the 6" kit, then look into the Fabtech basic kit. You may need an Add A Leaf to bring the rear up anyways because the 6" kits seem to sag a little in the rear.

What about not leveling the front and getting the Fabtech 6 inch lift? How much can I get it for?
