Rcd 6"

I am getting ready to order my lift and decided on the 6" RCD w/ Billstein 5100's all around. Anybody out there have an RCD and how do you like it? Also is there any problem if I decide to go to a adj coilover later?

i am currently running the 6" RCD lift..... all and all it is an AWESOME product !! they definately put some thought into making their stuff. i chose this kit since it is really the most complete kit out there. at first i set it at the 4.5" setting up front, but recently changed it to the 6" setting.... even though i still have my 33's on, it still looks pretty good. the ride is great with the bilsteins.....they are a great shock.

ill try to get some pics up tomorrow...... as for the lift, no it did not sit level at the 4.5" setting.... it had a rake about the same as stock....1.5-2". so now that i have it on the 6" setting, it is just about level. i have a bunch of sandbags in the bed right now, so i have my airbags pumped up..... ill test it tomorrow though to see how it sits without weight. if your going to get it installed for 2500.00, then i would say GO FOR IT !!!! i paid 2300.00 for mine, and it took me and a buddy about 10 hours to install it. so 200.00 is worth it, but i really enjoy doing lifts.

Does anyone know for sure if the shock that comes with this kit is different from the BE5-C298-HO?? The C298 is the 5100 shock one would order for a stock/no-lift truck to gain the 2" of lift in the front.

If it is, then the RCD kit must come with some type of spacer or something like the other kits (Pro Comp/Fabtech) that can retain the stock coil over.

I ask because it's right there on the Bilstein web site...they list the same shock (this one) for stock or lifted trucks as long as the lifted trucks have that spacer...which makes me think RCD does the same thing??

The way I understood it the stock replacement gives 0"-2" of lift the shock that comes with the kit has two settings a 4.5" and a 6" ......but I wouldn't bet my truck on it?
