Compare autospring to daystar for me
Compare autospring to daystar for me
I see a lot of folks use the AS level kits - 2 or 2.5" front lift. Not many with the Dayspring. I was looking at a kit they have for the Expedition - has spacers (2") for front and rear. Not sure how much rake the 03 Ex has anyhow - I measured the tops of the wheel wells and the measurements are almost exactly the same.
Anyhow, just wondering if it would be better to provide some lift to the rear too, or does it not make any difference. I know there is a cost difference, and the install would be more of a pain with the daystars, but I like the idea of front and rear spacers. I like the TRUXXX too, but the 3" up front seems to be excessive (according to opinions here).
So how would you compare the AS to the Daystar spacers?

I recently replaced my AS kit with the Daystar unit. I can say that after having both of them installed on the same truck, with the same wheel tire combo, with the same driver (me)...that the Daystar kit is far superior in both ride quality (less harsh) and creaks and rattles while articulating. The durathane on the Daystar kits provides that much needed isolation to keep the nasty metal to metal vibrations to a nill.
Daystar gets my vote. And I was very satisfied with my AS kit when it was installed...so there is my non biased opinion.

Going on 3 yrs. since I had my Daystar kit in and absolutely no problems with it. Great ride and the front holds alignment. Cost's more than the AS and is harder to install (the only 2 drawback's I know of) Low price and ease of installation the AS design win's hand's down. Either kit is a winner if you don't want a full suspension lift.

Check into the BDS kit which I think is similar to the Daystar. But im not sure cause I really havent found anything on the daystar that everyone is talking about.
For those of you who have the Daystar, Look at the BDS and let me know if they are alike.
