Bilstien vs Leveling kit

hello

Just wondering if there is a difference between installing bilstein shocks that provide the 2" or so of lift to level a truck or installing a leveling kit like auto spring.

Besides the obvious benefits of the increased performance from the Bilstein shocks?? The leveling kit is a spacer used to increase the ride heigth and the Bilstein shock uses spring pre-load to increase it. Two different directions to arrive at the same location. Personal preference. Many don't like spacers. I would go with the shock just for the performance gains of that alone if budget allowed. As far as what it does to front end geometry (i.e. increased ball joint / CV angles, etc) they both have the same effect and the front end doesn't know or care which one you're using. One's no easier or harder on those components.

I've done alot of searching on the net, the best price I've found is $360 + $19 shipping for all 4 Bilstein 5100's from eBay. Here's the link if your interested, this llink is for the 2004 and up 4x4 F150's...
