Another Sway Bar End Link problem.

Hey all. I am new here and real glad I found this site. I recently noticed my truck feeling as it if it rolls more than usual. I took a short trip the other day and on the return leg started hearing the little knocking associated with the sway bar end links. I bought the Energy Suspension replacements. Today I started the job, and got to the second one which was not busted, and can't get the damned thing off. I managed the bottom nut and bushing (under the control arm), but can't get the rest out. Any tricks to this ?

Kevin

are you loosening the whole bar? the bar literally has to be ready to come off for the end links to come out. You'll like the ES pieces - made a noticeable difference on my '02

It wasn't the bar but the End link. Then piece that connects to the control arm. Anyway, Got it done. SAWZALL's Rule!! Made real quick work of it. And yeah, WOW what a difference I noticed, from just those two little pieces. Can't wait to get the control arm and leaf spring sets in so I can get them done Saturday. I'll try to put some pics up of the job.

Later.

I'm not replacing the control arms, but the bushings with Energy Suspension Polyeurathane bushings. They have started squeaking and I wanted to stiffen the ride a little. So I will do the control arm bushings, and the leaf spring bushings. It's something I have been thinking about doing for a while now.
