leveling kit on a 4x2 98?

hello everyone. i searched and was still unclear, so i figured i'd ask. im pricing out my next mod on my 98 4x2. can you just put a leveling kit on a 4x2, or will it be more complicated than that? also, how many inches will i need to raise it, and what are some good CHEAP brands. its a single cab 4.6 L v8. any advice is appreciated!

Yeah, Daystar makes 2 inch coilspring spacers for your truck. They should be less than $100.

thanks. ill look into it. gotta find a shop to do it. it does require tools to do it, right. i dont have any experience with trucks, so i dont think i could do it myself, but if its easy to do, it would save me a bunch of money to do it.

Basically, you remove the coilspring and reinstall them with the spacers.

How is the ride after the spacers are installed? A guy at the shop down the street from me was telling me that since your coils are being compressed, the ride is much stiffer. In fact, he called it, "stiff as a brick".

The initial portion of the suspensions travel will be slightly stiffer.
