6" of lift

Would a 3" suspension lift and 3" body lift on a 2WD be the same height as a 4X4 with a 3 inch body lift? And does anyone know how bad 35's affect your gas mileage?

When my truck was stock i got about 350-375 miles per tank. About 15-17 MPG. With 6" lift and 35" tires i get about 225-250 miles per tank. About 9-10 MPG. I have the 5.4 and i believe it has 3.73 gears.

4x4's sit about 2"s higher than the 4x2's. so you would roughly be 1" smaller than a 4x4 with a 3" body and 35's. and you will see a change in gas mileage with the 35's. with the amount of money you will spend on the suspension, BL and install (if you dont do it yourself), you couldve probably coughed up enough change to get a full blown 6" lift.

Man here is one thing do what u want. If u want a 3" suspension and a 3in body do it. Me I would do a 6" suspension with a 3" body, but that is just me. If u do something like that if u ever wanted to go with a taller tire all u got to do is put them on.

Well I do have a 2001 so they do sit 3 inches higher. And I dont want to buy a 6 inch suspension lift because I dont have the money for the lift and the tires combined. But with a body lift and a 3 inch suspension its a lot cheaper.

Shops charge installation fees separately from the actual merchandise. and they are sometimes steep, and charge an hourly rate. if you do it yourself you will not have to cough that up.

I think you will regret having to install 2 lifts yourself rather than one better lift. How much is the suspension lift you are buying? How much for the body lift? And how does that compare to a better quality 6 inch suspension lift? I think you should go with the 6 inch suspension.

Well a 6" is about $1500, plus about $200 a tire. With the body lift and 3" suspension its not but about $600. Thats about $1000 extra bucks I dont have.

First off a body lift is around 200 bucks so your saying you can find a 3" suspension lift for 400 dollars.
