what a joke. i have tried today to put the 1 1/8" hellwig rear sway bar on my 99 f150 4x4, but finally gave up and am now preparing to send it back.

the directions suck especially the pictures, none of the brackets, u-joints or even the sway bar itself fit properly in any position, and all of the u-joints had boogered threads. i would have had to completely reroute my brake line and that wasn't an option.

i don't have any mods or lifts/drops to my suspension, so this should have been easy for an experienced shade tree mechanic like myself.

sorry for the rant, but i needed an outlet and to give proper warning to others.

I went with an Addco bar for my '02 2wd - installed it above the axle housing with the arms facing rearward. Other than centering to get the arms lined up for the frame rail end links, was a relative breeze to install.
