Technically...What size?

Ok, I'm getting Closer to My Body Lift and 38's. I know this is kinda silly, But I know I'm not the only one that has wondered this. If I am Running a 6" Fabtech, a PA 3" BL, T bars Cranked (adding another... ~1.5") and a 3" AAL, Should I still "Say" I have a 9" lift? Cause "TECHNICALLY" its an 11" But I dont really see people running around saying that

I've never really considered a T-bar crank (97-03s) or a 2"+ leveling spacer (04+s) as a lift per say. Or adding AALs just to get it level.

IMO, a "lift", whether it be a suspension or body lift, must lift the entire vehicle to be classified as a lift, not just the front of the vehicle to make it level. Or an extra AAL in back.

I'm sure some people will argue this point, but it just bothers me when people say I have a 2" lift in front, when all they did was level their truck. I think being conservative and stating that you have a 9" lift is probably sufficient. Your truck looks bad *** anyway, so I doubt anyone will question you.

Good luck with the BL, are you doing the install yourself?

Most Likely, I cant justify Paying someone $700 to install it, With a day or two in the driveway and a few buddies, Im sure it can be done

Yes, it's not that bad on our trucks. I installed a PA Body Lift on a 2000 SCAB 4x4 and then on my 03 SCREW 4X4. I've got picks of the install process with captions in my gallery. I've never installed one with a suspension lift already on though, so I'd be curious to see how it goes if you don't mind posting your feedback once it's finished.

Good luck, I'm sure it is going to look sweet when she's all done.

I consider ANYTHING that gives you lift, the amount of lift you have. So you'd have 11" of lift.

Agreed.Anything that lifts your truck up is a lift. When I had my 99 with the 6 and 3 setup, I cranked my torsion bars all the way and just classified it as a 9in lift modified to an 11 when people asked how much was on it.Or I would say 11inches in the front and 9 in the rear.

No. That's like ricers saying they've got a 45 Hp boost because their K&N is good for 15, and their fart can is good for 30.

If it was mine, I would say I've got a 6" suspension lift with cranked torsion bars, and a 3" body lift. Is it really that difficult?

Sorry, I don't mean to add to the fire but...

HP numbers and lift are two different things. Anything that "lifts" the vehicle higher than it is, should be considered "lift." Whether you have some nasty coil-over set up on the rear of your truck, or you added a leaf, you're still getting lift out of it right? Now, you wanna talk "Travel," that's another story.
