cv shaft nuts

I am trying to get my cv shaft nuts off and im having a hard time. I have a 1/2" craftsman breaker bar, got the passenger side broke loose, and the drivers side wont budge. I put a 5' pipe on the end of the breaker bar and had my whole body weight on the end of it, wouldnt budge, so i pushed a little harder and snapped the head of the breaker bar in 2 pieces... anyone else have this problem?

I'm sure you already tried this but PB blaster penetrating fluid has usually helped break loose any tough nut I've encountered. Otherwise if I really can't get it I just take a hammer and a chisel and try to get it that way, it ruins the nut but if you need it off you need it off. good luck

I had to get a 1" drive impact to knock it loose. I thought I had a big compressor until I had to spin that beast.

forgot to mention after that, I had to take a blunt tool with my air hammer to move the CV axle out of the hub, after i got the nut off. Passenger side was a real treat for me, almost got the torch out and cut it all off!

yeah lol... I Know. the threads are clean as can be, this shaft hasnt been in there for 5 months... I guess i need to go buy a big impact, mine wont budge it. I need to go to sears and get another breaker bar, sinces they are free replacement it wont matter if it breaks again.
