Well, it's my understanding that a AAL will increase stiffness some. I'm getting one with my lift but that's just because I don't want to get (pay for) a new leaf pack. A larger block shouldn't have any affect on ride, just don't stack blocks. Try and get one that's the size you want. You can even get one larger than desired and trim it to your desired lift.

THey both have advantages and disadvantages. THe asl will make the ride stiffer, but you won't have any problem with axle wrap. The larger block will retain the stock ride quality, and will probably be a little cheaper.

I'd personally get the 3" AS Block because you don't want a lot more lift in the rear otherwise it'll look silly.

No sorry didn't get around to it last weekend but the details are easy. You know that big stock muffler? Take it off and walk away and you have my set up. Everything else is untouched, well I have a 4 inch chrome rolled exhaust tip but thats it other then the muffler being taken off. I'll try and get a video from the outside this weekend. Also, I didn't feel like I've lost any low end torque. I've dealt a lot with the exhausts with fords and modular engines and I'm convinced that straight piped with some cats up front to keep it some what quiet (and to keep the rasp down) is the perfect combo. Heres a clip of my old mach 1 with crower stage 3 cams http://videos.streetfire.net/video/a...1f3159d5c9.htm
