Front end "poping" noise

Truck is a '99 with 144k miles. Inner/outer tie rods, upper/lower ball joints, pitman/idler arm are all fresh and tight.

When I'm accelerating from a stop, the front end makes a "popping" noise. Almost like something’s binding. Noise also occurs when turning a corner and backing down a steep driveway. I can also feel this in the steering wheel.

I first thought the wheel bearing was to blame but now I have suspicions about the CV joint.

Any thoughts?
