Few ?'s for guys with 6 inch lifts.

I just bought a pro comp 6 inch lift that some guy was selling on ebay, my questions are
1. Anyone ever travel long distances (300+ miles) in their truck. How does it ride?
2. Will it affect my 4x4/towing capabilities? I have 3.73 gears if that matters any.

I make tons of long trips with my lift kit, and I honestly have no complaints about how it rides. Gas mileage is definately hurting but thats because I'm running 3.55 gears with 35" tires. I plan on re-gearing to correct this and gain back the power loss.

I cant really give you too much advice on your second question. But as long as you have a longer drop hitch you should be pretty good. So long as your not pulling anything large like a skidder or something. I'm gonna be pulling a 2 place snowmobile trailer this winter and I don't see myself having any physical problems, I will definately be lacking in power unless I regear before then but thats about it.

I have the farthest I have driven on my truck since the lift has been is about 400 miles, and it did just fine, I pulled a 6X12' trailer with 3 quads and one in the bed, its actually the pic in my sig. the trip went fine, gas kinda sucked though!

I've made plenty of long trips in my truck and I'm on 37s. I even pulled my jet skis for at least 300+ miles each way. It's fine, just don't get Nitto Mud Grapplers if you want to use your truck for trips. The humming will get real old, real fast. If you're concerned with your towing capabilities than get gears!

As the others said, it will ride just fine for trips, etc. I've put almost 14k on in 5 months and the ride is never an issue. As far as pulling it will depend on what tire/gear combo you go with but properly geared you will tow just fine. If you're going 35's then consider 4.56 gears.
