285/75/16 or 305/70/16s would look good, but 315/75/16s would look even better. That's what I'm runnin'. Alot of guys with 97-03s on a BL run this.

If you can swing them, you'll be glad you did. I can promise you that you'll upgrade to them after you wear down your smaller ones. IMO

Im in the same spot cowboy, dont want to go any bigger than the 285 70 17s I have on now, but I am still going to do the BL this winter. I am torn between the 2 and 3 inch lift, I dont want too much space. I want the truck to look the way Ford should send them off the line. What do you think Wandell, I am 95% sure I am going with the 3", and if I dont like then I will be forced to by 35s when i need new tires that is.

Thanks for the opinions guys. The only reason I would hesitate on the 315/75/16's would be the rubbing issues. I do take my truck off-road atleast once a month. Would that size be an issue?

If you off-road i would go with a 33 instead of the 35's. I have 35's on 16x10 rims and if i off roaded allot i would go with 33's. What width rim do you plan on running??
I think JT'sf150 is running 33's with a 3 inch BL and also JMC is running that combo. Look up the names for pics.

I off road pretty avid with my 35's and I haven't had any issues. I also am not rubbing anywhere. I removed the 3" lower air valance off the front of the truck, crank the torsion bars just enough to clear 35s and also used zip ties to pull my gap guards back. No rubbing on or off road. Here's a pic of what the front looks like without the black 3" air valance (I know it's not called an air valance but I you guys know what I'm talking about).

JK007, I really like the look of your truck, and your's is actually the reason I want to lift mine, LOL. I do know that after I get it in the air and get some new tires, I am gonna have to get 4.10's and a locker, the 3.55's arent gonna cut it anymore

Thanks. I've got 3.73 LS and that turns the 35s just fine for me. Had 3.55's on my 2000 and I wasn't unhappy, but I wasn't thrilled also. Changing the gear ratio would be one of the last things I would do, because I don't haul or tow alot, and when I off road I always have suffient power.

Post some pics when you finish her up!

I will be sure to post pics as soon as I get her done. I do tow alot, and the 3.55's at stock height with 265/75/16's really suck LOL. I am gonna step up to 4.10's and put a locker in the rear, or even a limited slip. When I do tow, it is a 2002 ranger 4x4 (play toy) and a 1992 Jeep Cherokee 4x4(play toy) And to top it all off, I am looking at a 28' camperalso, so the gears will really help out

I hear ya and if I towed or hauled more, I'd probably step up the gears also. Good luck with everything.

Go with the 3 inch kit. Everything lines up better.
