Yes, you will gain more lift but I would not install those. They allow you to put way too much preload on your torsion bars. This will lead to premature ball joint and cv joint wear and destroy your ride quality. I'd suggest cranking the torsion bars up with the oem adjustment keys.

All of the Off Road package and FX4 trucks are supposed to have a front skid plate. Mine is noticable because of the body lift. I painted it because of this with Duplicolor bedliner. You can get one from www.fordpartsonline.com cheaper than most local dealerships.

It's steel, but it's not very thick. I'd rate it as average.

Don't buy the keys, use the OEM keys for the torsion bars. Wandell is the man and knows what he's talkin about.

Up until a month ago I had an extra skid plate I would have sent you for free, just like the one Wandell has and I have. I painted mine also. But I was 4 wheelin on the dunes and dented mine, so I painted my spare one and put it on my truck.

I have the one I took off that I could probably send you for free if you wanted to pay shipping. The dent could probably be worked out, but I don't know if it's worth it. If your interested, I could snap a picture for you.

I'd imagine that if you called a local junk yard, they would have one cheap. They are just OEM skid plates for the 97-03 F150's.

No problem, I'll get you pics in about 20 minutes. Take a look at them and just let me know what you want to do after you call a few junkyards.

What? I didn't give you a website, I think that was Wandell. Commas, periods and capital letters are your friends. Don't be afraid to use them

Anyway, I sent you an email with a lot more pics...
