Is this a good deal?

Today I went to the local suspension shop and asked for the price qoute on some lifts kits. They said the Fabtech 6" lift came out to $2,015 and a CST 7" w/lifetime warrenty cost $2,700. Do I really need a lift with a lifetime warrenty? Are lifts kits known for breaking or messing up? What do you think about the prices, I hope? Yes both prices include installation.

id go with the fabtech kit. $700 for one extra inch of lift doesnt seem worth it to me. i have heard of a couple people having fabtech kits that fell apart but its rare

depends of how long your gonna keep it and how much you molest the truck, would decide if you want the lifetime warranty. if it was a new truck i'd do it for sure, pay for it once and anything ever happens it there problem not yours.

I think I might have the truck for about 4-6 years. Yeah, I know it's a long time but I really dont want to dig myself in a deeper hole when it comes to payments. I have plenty of time to think about it. For the next three months I'll be saving up for some rims and tires which are going to cost about 2.5k if I go with chrome and AT, 3k if I get MT. Which I'll probably end up getting MT so that in the long time it'll look better with my lift. I probably get the lift sometime in the end of January when I get my income tax check.

Or I could just go with polished rims.

I've been looking into lifts myself and if those prices really do include installation like you said then either one is a great deal. I've only been seeing those lifts sell for around those prices, but without installation included. I've been looking into getting either the Fabtech or the RCD. I've heard good things about both of them. ** Just noticed though.. your truck is a 4x2... that probably explains the price difference then!!** You can check out www.topguncustomz.com if you want to check on some other lifts and pricing. They have a 2wd 6" Fabtech for $1,500 and then a couple upgraded kits. I think it sounds like they gave you a pretty good quote for installing them.

Email Josh at sportztrailersjosh@comcast.net, I just got in a 6" Fabtech Lift for my 4x2 from him and it only cost me $1,315.00 shipped to my door. Just let him know you heard about him on this site so he can give you that deal.

I would buy it from him but the thing is all the local shops want to charge me 900 to install a kit. I think I'm better off getting the fabtech for 2k with installation locally. Thanks aways.
