I want to lift my truck 3 inches. I currently have a setup of 2 inch spacer to level the truck out with 305/65/18 BFG TA KO tires on. I had to cut a little off my aftermarket fender flares to make this work. But, when I go over uneven surfaces the tires rub. I really want to off road, but I don't want to ruin my flares. So, I want to raise my truck up 3 inches. What set up out there would give me the best for the price? I am currently looking at the skyjacker setup. Thanks to all who give feedback.

 

The body lift is the best way for that amount of height. Normally any kind of suspension lift under 4 inches creates bad angles for steering and suspension parts.

 

You can't run the 3 inch Skyjacker lift with your leveling kit. Basically, either install a 3 inch body lift or remove the leveling kit and install a 6 inch suspension lift.

 

I agree....i would go ahead and get a suspension lift.

 

Okay, I see what u r saying wendell. That makes sense. I should have thought about that before I asked. I just want to raise my truck up enough to clear the tires from rubbing on my fenders and fender wall when on uneven surfaces. Is 6 inches too high? Installing a body lift would make a stiffer ride than I already have. I have a 2005 FX4 short box (5.5"), meaning short wheel base and choppy ride. I should probably go with a suspension lift then. Thanks for all who responded with feedback.

if i were you, i would take off the spacers and install a 4" rancho suspension lift. it is a high quality kit and comes with new shocks, and is good for offroading.

 

Body lift doesnt affect your ride....a suspension lift is an overall better choice.
