Fabtech w/ spacer and aal

Has anyone had any issues with this setup? Any ball joint or drive line problems?

Not short term, but I'm sure it will cause things to wear faster...

The main thing I see is the upper ball joint, but you can fix that with aftermarket ones. If I used the 4wd a lot I'm sure the cv shafts may be a concern too.

Did you have to do anything to your drive line when you did that setup on your truck?

Like did you get a new drive shaft or anything like? I don't really know if doing a lift like that throws of the angle to much or not.

The Fabtech kit comes with a spacer you add to the rear drive shaft. You have to turn/rekey the front drive shaft. That's all I did.

Mike I have a 2x4, don`t know about other truck on this forum. But so far I`ve replaced the lower ball joints. And starting to feel the uppers go.

Had 2.5 AS for about a year. B4 I installed my 6" in feb 07. Replaced lower ball jnts in in june and reinstalled my 2.5AS back on. Like I said, now I feel the uppers going.

Just recently started feeling a clunking feel under the truck, I`m guessing u jnts

Note: My truck has about 91000 Miles
Tow a 26' Travel trailer
Used as work truck (tools & Cabinets)
hwy driven about 100 miles a day

Don`t know how long the wear on these issues last .But I`m guessing with what I do with my truck it just wears faster.
