front end clunks when turning

hey guys i did a search for this and found a lot of older f150's with a front end clunk, but mine is an 05. when i turn right into a parking lot or hit a bump it makes a clunk. nothing visually wrong under there. does it everytime and sounds like it is coming from the right side. when the truck is off if i shake the steering wheel i hear it so i had my brother do it while i looked under neath and cant tell where it is coming from. seems like it could be the rack and pinion. anyone else with this problem .

TIE ROD(S), check and double check, because if they are making this noise, it's not far from actually snapping. In case you don't know how to check, grab them, push and pull them parallel and perpendicular to the pavement is as easy a way to describe it. If the ball portion inside feels like a small amount of play or movement or a clicking feel, change it. Remember, they are supposed to turn a bit, but feel internally solid in that ball casing (where the grease is). I always grab the tie rod link firmly and rotate it to keep them freed up a bit. Check this yourself or have it checked to rule it out, factory tie rods and ball joints are nutorious for breaking, bring the grease fitting back and can these stupid "grease for life" parts.
