FX2 lowered this week

I just lowered my o7 FX2 last weekend and spent the first week accessing it. I just joined F150 online and my truck is so new I don't have any pics yet, but the camera is charging and Im headed to the car wash today. I used the Roush Kit and had Troyer Performance aquire it it for me along with a complete Stage II Performance Kit. The Roush is a 2-3 drop. If you want it level you could puchase some additional 2" rear shackles for around $60 and install them at the same time so you don't have to recheck the pinion angle, but I am going to wait to see if the leafs relax a little. This is a performance handling kit and still allows you to go over speed bumps, through dips, and just barely clear parking blocks. It will hold the truck until the tires break loose in a turn. If you are looking to go up in tire size to fill up the wheel wells, this is a good choice. If you are going after the slammed look I would go to progressive (air).

Did you reuse the spacer block? How much was the kit from Troyer? I have been thinking about using the Roush Kit on my FX2 so let me know how the ride quality is down the road.

Roush Suspension

The spacer block (shackle) between the leafs and the frame? I had my local alignment shop throw the kit on and do a 4 wheel alignment for $300. The Roush was around $1100 from Troyer, this was priced as a package though. The ride is very good for everyday driver, significantly stiffer in corners and performance. The air dam just barely clears a parking block. I think I am going to through the additional 2" drop shackles in the rear though and am also eyeing a rear sway bar from Eibach.

The spacer block at the rear axle. Did they use it or remove it?

i went with the groundforce 9944 from summit for like 1149 with free shipping. 2/4 drop and with the factory tires you really cant tell the difference in ride quality. handling is great though. it curves to the maximum of the tires sidewall before you cant get it sideways. most bumps in the road you really dont even feel them. with my 22's 305/40 it looks great and the ride isnt that bad like you would think. i do have a rear swaybar from hellwig so its a little stiff down rough roads but i get compliments on the way the truck sits all the time. ill try to get some pics up of it. it sits perfectly level with a full tank of gas (37.5) and toneau cover on it. i have seen a few 2/5 and lower and just not practical for my taste. some like to piece the kits together and save money. the only drawback with my truck, 2wd drive is that when i went in for the alignment the best he could do was a negative 1 without adjustment plates that cost another 250 for the ones that i brought. dont know much about the drop spindles but that may be a good route if ride quality is very important to you just a thought and get low

lowered 07 FX2 screw

i lowered mine using the Eibach 2/3 kit part # 35112.540. i added shackles for a additional 2" drop in the rear. eibach cost $330 drop shackles $60. 3 hours to install. Do a little reading and the install is a piece of cake.

2" Belltech spring in the front and 3" Belltech leafs coupled with a 1" shackle. I also took out the 1" factory block and it sits perfectly level now. Heres a pic.

Ever looked at the DJM 2.5"/4" or 3"/5" kit?? Well priced and good ride!! Both kits use lowering control arms up front, and axle flip kit for the rear. Good quality kit, installed it on my buddies truck and had no problems....

IMO Ground Force is WAY over priced!!

Good Luck in whatever you pick.

Most GF kits include coilovers and shocks as well, hence the higher price.

Oh man thats funny. I saw you at mcdonalds on 441 and glades in the shadowwood plaza the other day. I went through the drive thru and parked next to ur car to eat to see if you would come out and we could talk or something lol. I guess you were in there for a while. We should meet up some time. I live at the end of yamato. By saturnia. I would love for you to teach me a few things on what to do to my truck. Im only 16 and my trucks already hooked up but I still want to lower it and stuff. You look like you know what your doing. BTW IDK if you saw me I had the red f150 look at my gallery. Hit me up on aim f1gopedder.
