Question Not level after lift!

Alright I need some advice here so when I go to the shop who lifted my truck , i dont look like an idiot. . Ok well I recently got the Fabtech 6" lift done on my 06 F150 2WD ( Yeah its a 2WD! ) Ok well, when I got it back the other day I noticed that the rear end sits lower than the front. The rear end is exactly 2" lower from ground to the bottom of the fender. I asked the guy when i first seen it and his response was

' Well usually on 4x4 trucks, the rear end is stock 2 inches higher than the front. So when you put the kit on, its really 6" in the front and 4" in the back and it all levels out. But yours isnt 4WD so thats why its sitting lower in the back '

Now, doesnt Fabtech offer the 6" lift for the 4WD and 2WD trucks? I specifically told the guy that I want to get a lift for my 2WD. So since it is a 2WD, shouldn't it be 6" up front and 6" in the back since I dont have that extra 2 inches like a 4WD? Im starting to think that they ordered the lift for a 4WD truck...Anyone can help me out?? Thanks!

Add an AAL and everything will be fine.

A lot of 4x4 trucks are lower in the rear after adding a lift also, so it is not just your 2WD.

You need the 5" lift block from fabtech or an add-a leaf.

AAL = Add A Leaf in reference to your rear leaf springs.

A AAL is a Add a Leaf. It's a leaf spring lift for the rear. Personally, I'd go with a 5" block instead.

Honestly, as much money as you have spent with your shop, i'd try to get the swap for the larger block at no charge.

Tell them the reason you chose their shop was you thought they would help inform you on all aspects of lifting your truck.

I agree. I assume the reason the Fabtech lifts sit a little lower in the rear is styling. The "prerunner" look is currently very popular but a lot of people don't care for it (where the front is slightly taller than the rear). Most people want their truck to sit level.

What size block comes with the 2WD kits? 2 inch right? If thats the case than he should just go with the 4" Fabtech block.
