Shock Boots

Hey guys

So my Fabtech 7.5" lift came in the mail yesterday
I noticed that the fabtech shocks which came with it do not have shock boots. I live in southern California, where I will mostly be doing street driving with this truck. When I do go offroad, I probably will not see much mud since it doesn't rain a ton down here.

Now I have looked up the benefits and downfalls of shock boots. Main downfall that I have heard of is mud getting in the shock boots from offroading. Benefits, protects the pistons from flying rocks, sand, and debris. To me it sounds like I should go ahead with buying shock boots.

What do you think?

They can't realy hurt, and they are dirt cheap. Also give the truck a little color flare, depending on what color your truck is and what the accents are. I whent ahead and got some shock boots when my lift came, have not had any problems so far, and thats with some mud flinging etc.

I'd leave 'em off. I like the look of the chrome shaft on the shocks.

My truck has been lifted for over a month now and I havent put the shock boots on yet, nothing bad has happened, but I do live in Michigan, and our winters do get rough, so I need to put some on before the snow and salt comes

Mine havn't rusted. A lot of people believe that the rubber boots trap mud, water and moisture and cause rust.
