Max tire w/ stock/BL

I have a 1998 2wd F-150, and I was wondering what the max tire size i could put on the stock would be?
Also, if I were to get a 3 inch BL, what would the max then be?
I've read somebody put 32's it looked like on stock, and either 33's or 35's on BL, but they might have had 4wd.
I was also curious what size my tires are now, i have Pr255/70r/16, i looked and a website said they were right about 30. is that accurate? thanks for any help

Yep, your oem tires are basically 30 inches tall. You can cram 285/75-16's (33x11.50) on your stock truck with some minor rubbing, but 265/75-16's (32x10.50) would be a better fit. You can fit 305/70-16's (33x12.50) with a body lift.

is there any minor cutting i could do to avoid the minor rubbing or is there no way around it really? also, ive read that the minor rubbing wont hurt much at all, is that pretty much true? thanks for your help, also, do u have any pictures of a stock 2wd with 33's?

No, a couple of members here have run 33's on stock 4x2's but I can't think of any names. Most agree that 33's look too stuffed on a stock 4x2.

I have 285/75/16 on my 4x2 Screw and think they look just right. If you are going to lift the truck then that is the smallest tire you should go with. I had 265 and they did not look big enough in my opinion. With a lift you could probably go bigger that 285 if you want to. The only rubbing I have is on a mud guard when the wheels are turn to the max.
