Well, heres what Pro Comp has to say:

"Hi Brian, our 6” lift system for the 04-07 F150 does require new rims with no more than 5” back spacing. A factory rim with 6.5” backspacing cannot be used. "

I dont know, I wonder if they just say that to cover themselves. Or maybe everything is a little different. Letting it work on some peoples trucks and not on others.

Anyways, apparently those AR Chamber Teflons are backordered till October. But I did order the lift. On Ebay, for $1,200. Not to bad, compared to 4WheelOnline or 4 Wheel parts.

Jeff can you run a spare tire for a short distance or is the back spacing on the spare wrong?

Cool Procomp 6" with factory 17's

I have a 2005 F150 and I just installed a procomp 6" kit with factory 17's this weekend. It worked fine. Nothing rubs after a few minor modifications. I dont see why procomp says this doesn't work. Nothing rubs even in a full turn.

I know many may laugh at a lifted truck with factory rims but thats what I like. I just wanted a taller factory looking truck.

PS: I got the kit off Ebay for $875

Im going two more inches higher in the rear, but heres some pics.
