Installing rear blocks

Has anyone installed rear lift blocks on their own vehicles? if so how do you go about doing it or what is the best way? Or should i just let the off road shop handle it so i dont break anything

yes please if anyone has any info cuz i am trying to do this to my truck as well. i want olike 2 inch blocks and im gunna add new shocks. im not sure which blocks or shocks i need. so any info would be great

It's pretty simple. Just disconnect your shocks and support the truck with jack stands under the frame. Put a floor jack under your differential housing and loosen your u-bolts. Lower the floor jack until you can get the lift block in and then tighten the u-bolts back up.

Do one side at a time and watch your brake lines, axle vent, and abs wires when you're lowering the axle.

oh that doesnt sound too bad. but what kinda shocks do i need. can a jus use factory replacements like monroes from kragen. or do i have to buy some for the difference of the lift?
