very new to all this

hey guys. i have been looking at all your mods on your f150's and i seriously admire them. i just needed some help and it would be much appreciated.

well i can finally get my 2007 f150 Screw FX4. i plan to get the fabtech 6" lift with the upgraded shocks. i plan to also put Nitto Mud Grapplers (35") on them within a month. so i was wondering before me and my dad head out to ford, i was wondering which gear ratio (3.55 or 3.73) i should go with. another question is what lug pattern is on the truck. because i went to discount tires while rotating my current car and they said that the procomp 6001 series wont fit, is there some kind of conversion i can do? thanks so much. im not sure if this is the right place for this thread. but everything will help. thanks guys

I think your bolt pattern is 6x135. Are you going to be offroading your truck or stay on the road. If your not going to be a serious offroader, i wouldnt get the mudd grapplers. They look good and perform well, but they are loud and will only last you around 15k max....

I agree, if you can put up with the loudness of the mud grapplers all the time then get them otherwise you will be hating life. I would get the factory 3.73 with limited slip option and like keith_bennett said, the bolt pattern is 6x135mm. Also, you may get more responses by posting in the 2004 - Present sub forum...

good luck!

Go with TOYO M/T's...i was driving next to a Tacoma that had some Mud Grapplers on it...i could hear them clear as day inside my truck with the windows rolled up...i cant imagine how loud they woould be if I were actually inside the truck that they were on....

ouchy. between the toyo and nittos. the toyo cost double. 440ish and for the mudgrapplers they are like 220 lol. thats going to hurt the wallet.

just listen to keith's sound clip to the grapplers .. they are louder then hell. thank god you guys told me about that .. i want some nice aggressive tires that wont kill my wallet. any ideas

Take a lok at the Cooper Dscover STT tires. I have some pics in my gallery. Very similar to the toyo but much cheaper.

The Pro Comp Xtreme MT's are getting good reviews. I'd also consider the BFG MT KM's, Mickey Thompson MTZ's and **** Cepek Mud Country tires.

thanks a lot guys. this helped a lot

now for the lift system. ive been hearing that RIZE is pretty nice. btu so is the fabtech with the coilovers (upgrade). i know the stock shocks on the fabtech is suppose to put a lot of stress on certain joints but what about the coil overs. does that get rid of that problem ?

thanks again guys

Yeah, I'm running 35's with 3.55 gears after having 33's for about 6 years.
