Squeaks!!!

Ok guys, I need some help to figure out what is causing all the damm noise in my front end. It is so loud I cannot ignore it anymore. The horrible squeaking is there weather I drive over a small bump or just take a slit turn. My truck is a 2006 150 fx4 with about 11k miles. It has a fabtech 6" lift and a recent addition of the AS 2.5 kit ( added about 3 months ago). The horrible squeak started about a month after the AS 2.5 kit install. Now I know a lot of the guys have the same set up I do so please respond if you have expienced the same problem.

do you have urethane spacers?
i had an old jeep cherokee several years ago that had urethane spaceres up front that sounded like an old squeaky bed everytime i hit a bump or took a curve. it was much worse in cold weather.

if you do have these, try hosing them down with wd40 and see if it helps.

Make sure the inboard side of your coil springs aren't rubbing on the frame.

I doubt most people practice this, but any suspension component that has a rubber or urethane bushing in it... like where the uca's and lca's attach to the frame and where the shock attaches to the lca. None of the fasteners that go through those flexible bushings shoudl be tightened until the vehicle is off of all jacks and jack stands. The truck should be sitting at it's proper ride height before you tighten any of those fasteners. Failure to do so will cause excessive wear on those flexible bushings and could possible cause one to break loose and spin. That could be the squeak you're hearing. Try spraying your rubber bushings with a good dose of wd-40 one at a time and see if the squeaking stops.

That makes sence to torque the control arms after the truck is on the ground. But i will first try soaking the joints with wd40 and see if that does the trick, otherwise I will might just blow the truck up ( just kidding ) cuz the noise it makes is embarrissing and its killing me!!

having a lifted truck is awsome but its the small stuff like this that drives me nuts. it seems like right when i get a squeek fixed up comes another one. but you gotta pay to play i guess.

Did you determine the bushings to be the cause? I too have a 6" fabtech and just found out the other day all the bushings in the LCA's are completely shot. When i hit the brakes the entire unit moves forward and backwards. I can't find a bushing kit and the dealer wants 285 a side for the LCA's ... yikes!
