new shocks.

im getting some new shocks tomorrow, i just dont know what kind. i dont want to spend a fortune, i just need something to replace my worn out ones. any ideas? and should i have them installed or do it myself?

Just about any name brand shock will be an improvement. I'd do it myself, they are really easy.

thats what i thought. my only worry is that i wont be able to get the old ones off. they look pretty stuck on there. they are like 10 years old

A little help on the rear shocks is to unbolt the bed and raise it to gain access to the upper nut. I slid a 6X6 between the frame and the bed for the room I needed.

Spray some penetrating oil on all of the bolts a couple of days before you plan on replacing the shocks. This should help with removing the old shocks.
