F-250 Front Springs for an F-150

Does anyone know if the front springs from a 96 or 97 model F-250 (the same body style as the F-150) would fit under my '01 F-150 ?? If not, could a recommendation be made for a stronger spring that would fit a stock front end.
I am contemplating putting a ranch hand bumper assembly on the front and the extra weight may be to much for the stock springs.

Yes, the torsion bars from the F-250 Light Duty/7700 lb trucks will fit regular F-150's. If you have a Supercrew, the crossmember has to be unbolted and moved farther back on the frame (the mounting holes are already there) because the Screws use shorter torsion bars. Your idea of installing the F-250 torsion bars with a heavy replacement bumper is a good idea. A couple members at FTW have done this mod.
