Couple leveling kit questions before I pull the trigger!
Couple leveling kit questions before I pull the trigger!
I am about to go about purchasing and installing a leveling kit and BFG 33" tires on my '05 2wd Screw w/ the 17" mach. aluminum wheels. I've read these forums and searched, and there seems to be different opinions on these questions, so I thought I would ask them myself so I don't burn my money!
1. If I want the truck to sit level, is a 2" leveling kit enough for a '05 2wd Screw w/ the 17" mach. aluminum wheels? I've read some reports on here that says the 2.5" kit makes the front higher on a 2wd while others have said it doesn't. I definitely don't want the front higher than the back as I don't like the look.
2. Do either the Daystar or Auto Spring kits change the factory ride?
3. Are there issues with the Daystar considering that you must disassemble the strut to install it and that it is made out of plastic?
Thank you so much for your time and answers!

Place a jack under the front of your frame on a level surface and measure the front wheelwell height. Then jack the truck up 2 inches and 2.5 inches and see which height you prefer. Every truck is a little different.
A leveling kit should't change your ride.
The one piece kits like the Autospring are much easier to install because you don't have to take the coilovers apart. However there is nothing wrong with the design or durability of the Daystar kit.
