Lift Kit Install

I have an 05 F150 FX4 Reg Cab Short box. and have decided to put more money into it. But in order to save money I would like to try the install of a 6" Lift myself. Have a lot of people done these themselves? How difficult of a task am I getting myself into?

Thanks,
Dana

I have. Did a (sort of) write-up on it too. Let there be no doubt, it's a job. But if you are mechanically inclined and have the proper tools available you should be able to knock it out in a day. It tooke me 13.5 hours start to finish as I recall

It's not too bad. I'd plan on doing it over the weekend and taking your time. Read all instructions beforehand and have all the necessary tools on hand before you begin to tear things apart. Having an extra set of hands will make life much easier.

You'll get a nice sense of satisfaction when it's all done, plus you'll learn a bunch about the suspension of your truck.
