is this a problem?

i was looking around my truck and I noticed that on my a-leafs on back suspension.. there are little rectangle brackets that are supposed to hold them together or something... the a leafs stay together.. but these little brackets slide around.. and you can see the original discolored spot where they were.. is this a problem? ive been diriving over 10,000 miles with this problem and not noticed anything...

No problem...all these clips do are keep the springs from moving side to side which would be a problem if they moved too far out. The u bolts do the majority of the work in keeping the springs in their place. Just go to your local spring shop and pick up some qwik clips and install them yourself. Shouldn't cost more than 10 bucks and takes a couple minutes to put them on.
